Stylecouch is an independent blog, reporting about everything that inspires me and passes my eyes and brain.

I find inspiration everywhere – in books, magazines, in the street, when travelling, in Copenhagen where I live , in fleamarkets – as I said it could be everywhere!

Creating a blog was a brand new world opening up just in front of me and I must admit  – an extremely interesting and fabulous one!  I always bring my sketch book with me – but this is actually like an electronic sketchbook that I bring with me on all my virtual travellings.

In my blog I let you enter my world of inspiration about fashion, art, culture, music and anything else that influences my universe of ideas and impressions.

My pure and essential fascination for designing and creating has led me through exciting fields of this world during the last years. I always had a passion for creating my own style and universe. Very young I began making my own clothes, trend collages etc. As the passion was still there growing older, I decided to do as a living.

After graduating as design manager in 1999 I got my first designer job in the Danish clothing company NOA NOA.  I stayed around 5 years and later as a freelancer.

In 2005-2007 I had my own company MEMORIA – travelling around the world collecting unique vintage pieces that were sold in  my e-shop as well as in a small basement shop in Copenhagen. I recall this period of time as a fabulous and creative time with a lot of freedom and experiences, however I missed designing from scratch.

Therefore I never doubted creating my own brand and universe as I had the opportunity in 2007. This was when Eda Mae was born. A brand that reflected my style, build up around a universe inspired by clean and simple French designs with a soft Scandinavian interpretation. Unfortunately it was decided to close down the brand in April 2009 – a decision I could not influence however the group of supporters still seemed to be growing…

The shift brought me into a new challenge; In July 2009 I joined the Copenhagen based accessories company becksöndergaard as head of design. For designers the universe of accessories is like a playground for children…everything seems to be possible – the colours and the designs can be more crazy and you really get the opportunity to define a look!

I am really happy to share my impulses and ideas with you so I hope you enjoy it – and I hope you will find inspiration as well.
