Some of the most magnificent designers of our time saw the light in Antwerp. The Antwerp six refers to a group of influental designers graduating from The Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp in the early 80s. The group consists of Dries Van Noten, Ann Demaulemeester, Dirk Bikkembergs, Marina Yee, Dirk Van Saene and Walter Van Beirendonck. Last weekend the harbor of Antwerp was hosting a show representing the new innovative designers from the same school. Within the international jury you could, among others, find Danish Henrik Vibskov. Once again the school delievered a high-level show that might include up and coming stars of tomorrow!

With a positive strategy in mind, Comme des Garçons is launching a new black collection in my absolute favorite store Dover Street Market! Rei Kawabuko is using key words as accessibility, personality, temporary, iconic, energy, cool, positive and good looking. The collection contains only black items, concentrated on popular CdG styles which will be sold in large volumes in small temporary spaces between 25-40 square metres. Seems as a reaction against the luxury retail expansions of the recent years. The London shop is opening tomorrow!
It is time to find an alternative to the ever lasting black bags!!! The red bags can be so rock and cool and even in a bohemian way as the adorable Kirsten Dunst wears the classic Chanel quilt bag! With the rivets the clutch looks very rock chic. Even that white bags can be really difficult and very bling bling I simply love the white alexander wang with the heavy zippers!
The London cabaret artist duo Bourgeois & Maurice claims that they met on a self-help workshop – which is only giving their story more edge and craziness! They disliked each other from the first sight – but after being kicked out of the sessions they found each other and agreed on making their own speciel version of a self-help group in the shape of Cabaret performance in London. Bourgeois & Maurice are a musical alt-cabaret duo on a mission to better the lives of all humans in the world…starting with their own! They are playing and an asexual male and female couple. Bistroteque is one of the place to find the amazing couple live – having a dinner there and watching a show must be fantastic. Enjoy the lovely photos!!

Always played down, relaxed and casual, however, at the same time always stylish, classy and cool!
