SPOT ON CELEBS!!!

Posted in Art, Fashion, Graphic design, Music by stylecouch on October 7, 2009

On my never ending inspiration trip for cool illustrations, I stumbled on Paul Normansell’s great creations. His dots portraits are featuring the relationship between art and music. Paul has been studying the connection between colours, shapes and sounds and how these factors can stimulate feelings. Based on these studies he has developed his dot-style technique to present famous people – among others The Killers’ Brandon Flower, David Bowie, Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jackson, Bob Marley and for sure with no exception of the fabulous Agyness Deyn! Have a look here for more of his fabulous works.

WHEN A SKETCHBOOK BECOMES TOO SMALL…

Posted in Sketches, Uncategorized by stylecouch on September 20, 2009

I am never leaving my home without my personal sketchbook which contains all the small ideas and impressions I meet during the day…my brother made this nice sketch of it for me – now it belongs to the contests of mine! For Lovisa Burfitt the sketchbook became to small so she started creating wall illustrations – I really like these ones from restaurant East in Stockholm. I will now consider if I should extend the base of ideas with a wall illustration…
