Copenhagen Climate Conference – Don’t say sorry in 2020!

Posted in Advertisement, Art, Photography, True by stylecouch on December 8, 2009

This is one of several Greenpeace-commissioned ads that have just been revealed in and around Copenhagen airport this week and it is an impressive idea of Toby Cotton. Greenpeace commissioned Arc Communications UK to create these ads, which picture world leaders in 2020, apologizing for not having done enough to stop the climate change. I find them very powerful – hopefully our leaders do too.

True IV! – Ken Robinson says: school kill creativity

Posted in Art, Fashion, Fun, Graphic design, True by stylecouch on September 17, 2009

Why don’t we get the best out of people? Sir Ken Robinson argues that it’s because we’ve been educated to become good workers, rather than creative thinkers. Students with restless minds and bodies — far from being cultivated for their energy and curiosity — are ignored or even stigmatized, with terrible consequences. “We are educating people out of their creativity” Lean back and listen to his fantastic, humorous and true speech!

True! III

Posted in Art, Fashion, Graphic design, True, Uncategorized by stylecouch on September 17, 2009

Some people are using 1000 words and can not make the point. Some people like as Pablo Picasso, Albert Einstein or Salvador Dali could and it is still true! The artist Shirley-Ann Dick designed a wonderful poster calendar, bearing quotes from famous artist, poets and scientists. To tell you the truth: I really like it!
