‘Nobody else is making women appear more beautiful’ the statement was announced by Christian Ravera, Vogue Hommes’ artistic director. Saying words about one of my favorite photographers Paolo Roversi. There is no doubt that the Italian photographer has had a huge influence on fashion photography with his blurred poloroids. His work is an essential inspiration source for me and I share his passion for poloroids and the outcome of the colours, why it is my preferred photo style for image campaigns!
Eda Mae poloroids A/W-09:
Many of my favorites and most inspiring photos are shot by the American photographer Steven Meisel – very often for US and Italian vogue – but among them also beautiful pictures of his friend Madonna and the latest campaign for Lanvin.
The Year of Coco Chanel
The best present I ever got was an original coco chanel fashion illustration. I have had it for several years now and I still love it and it keeps reminding me of this pioneering french queen of fashion. The latest issue of French vogue is a tribute to Coco Chanel and the 22nd of April is the French premiere date of the Coco Avant Chanel movie. The first trailer has just arrived – a sneak preview only in French which makes it even more original. The main characters in the movie are Audrey Tautou (the fabulous Amelie from Montmartre) and Allesandro Nivola. I am quite sure this will be the fashion movie of 2009 – showing fabulous costumes, beautiful scenes and charismatic characters. I will hereby dedicate the year to the never ending inspiration source Chanel as well! This is visible in the Eda Mae AW/09 collection, which also contains items and looks inspired by this wonderful universe.
